Another week in the books. To pile onto that, another Lenten week in the books.
I feel like I am just getting through the withdrawal from my social media addiction. Saying that as I blog kind of makes me laugh. I’ve removed messenger and Facebook off all my devices, and I was never on twitter but from time to time use Instagram.
This week has been another week of adventure. I guess you want adventure in your life or it would really be boring, but my adventure comes in the form of a tiny human. She is really coming into her own right now and to top it all off, her last set of molars are coming in and that’s just been fun.
My daughter is typically well mannered and well behaved. I wouldn’t go as far as to say she’s easy to parent, but when you only have 1 and they get 100% of your attention, you can focus on things differently. Our focus right now is being united as parents. Being united in the way she eats, the way she plays, and the way we may have to discipline.
The tiny human has been testing us lately. All of a sudden she says… “I don’t like that” or the word of the month “No”. As I’ve said earlier in the week, we are united in trying to correct bad behaviour and speech we don’t want to hear. This is not to say we are going to shut her down, just monitor and correct.
Coming into the week I am feeling good. As I said, I’m missing Facebook less and less and just had an amazing weekend with my family. When I started to write this blog 5 days ago I was in a different space, but now… Well, I’m pretty happy.
Eve and I spent St. Patty’s day with friends at the Heart and Crown, Saturday everyone was in a nice and playful mood and Sunday I wondered around in a daze all day due to having to work from 11pm to 7am Saturday night. We are a week away from our first big road trip and I a m super excited to see all my old friends, one that I haven’t seen in 20+ years.
I don’t have much more to say other then, life is good.
